About this product

This set lets you use medicube's toner pads side by side. The listing photos show three jars: the blue Zero Pore Pad, the red Red Succinic Acid Peeling Pad and the dark brown Deep Vita C Pad. Each jar holds 70 round pads soaked in toner. The maker's photos show a two-sided pad with a textured side and a soft side. For the Zero Pore Pad, medicube says to swipe with the textured side first and finish with the soft side.

Zero Pore Pad: the jar lists AHA, BHA, panthenol, allantoin and sodium hyaluronate. The ingredient list names lactic acid (AHA) and salicylic acid (BHA). The maker says it helps reduce the look of pores and leaves skin feeling smoother.

Red Succinic Acid Peeling Pad: the jar lists succinic acid 0.5%, panthenol 0.5% and niacinamide 2%. The ingredient list also includes salicylic acid (BHA). The maker calls it a multi-level peel pad and says it exfoliates and helps skin tone and texture look more even.

Deep Vita C Pad: made with sea buckthorn water, a vitamin C derivative and niacinamide 2%. The maker says the pale yellow colour comes from the sea buckthorn and that the pad is meant for a brighter, more even-looking skin tone.

Good to know: the Zero Pore and Red Succinic pads contain exfoliating acids, and the Deep Vita C pad also lists milder acids (gluconolactone and lactic acid). Start slowly, especially if your skin is sensitive or mature. All three pads contain essential oils, and two of them list fragrance allergens such as limonene or linalool. Check the ingredient lists if you have allergies.

How to use

After cleansing, take out one pad and close the jar straight away. Gently swipe the pad over your face from the centre outwards, avoiding the eyes and lips. If your pad has a textured side and a soft side, use the textured side first, then turn it over and finish with the soft side. Pat any liquid left on your skin until it sinks in. Throw away the used pad. Follow with your serum, moisturiser and, during the day, sunscreen. The Zero Pore and Red Succinic pads exfoliate, so start with a few uses a week and only use them more often if your skin feels comfortable. Do not layer several exfoliating pads in one routine.
