About this product

The Cactox Pore Relief Multi Balm is a pale green balm in a slim stick. You glide it straight onto your skin, so there is no jar to dip into. The maker says it feels cool on contact and melts into the skin.

The maker builds the formula around cactus. It contains extracts of prickly pear flower, fruit and stem, plus caffeine, adenosine and zinc PCA. Per the maker, the balm helps pores look smaller and more refined, helps the face look less puffy, and helps keep shine from excess oil in check.

The maker calls the formula oil-free and moisturising. It also contains several forms of hyaluronic acid, panthenol, aloe and ceramide NP. It contains fragrance and plant extracts such as lemongrass, eucalyptus and mint, so do a patch test before you use it for the first time. Close the inner cap well after every use.

How to use

Take off the cap and the inner cap. Glide the stick gently over areas where pores look visible or the skin looks puffy, such as the cheeks and nose. Keep it away from the eyes. Pat lightly until it has sunk in. You can use it again during the day when you want a cool, fresh feeling. Always close the inner cap and the outer cap right after use. The maker says the oil-free formula can change texture if it is left open to the air.
